One of the UK's best-known AI exports, Darktrace was taken private by Thoma Bravo in a roughly 5.3 billion dollar deal completed in October 2024 and delisted from the London Stock Exchange. It remains Cambridge-based, but its departure thinned an already short list of listed UK AI companies.
